Can a non taxi badged individual be included to drive for Social Domestic & Pleasure cover?
No. In England and Wales, if any person who is not badged drives a licensed private or public hire vehicle, he/she is committing an offence. This applies even if all plate/signs etc indentifying the vehicle as a licensed taxi are removed. The only exception is for road testing purposes after servicing or repairs have been carried out.
